Company Profile
Blueprint was established with an original staff of three in Timaru in April 2004 by Managing Director Michael Lightbourne. Recognising a potential niche in the local and South Island market, the objective was to build a company which provided quality output, excellent customer service and support plus genuine value for money.
Following an incredibly busy initial 18 months it became apparent that to meet growing demand Blueprint would have to increase its capacity. To this end, the company purchased Rangiora Print, a privately owned full service print company with a solid trading history spanning some 22 years. An established reputation for producing award-winning work and cost-competitive pricing plus the company’s advanced technology including computer-to-plate (CTP) pre-press capabilities, hi tech printing presses and print finishing equipment made this acquisition an extremely attractive one. The company was subsequently relocated from the satellite outskirts of Christchurch in May 2006 to new premises in the city to bring its services closer to its clients.
To fulfill its goal of becoming a market leader, Blueprint recognized the need to be more than just a mere printing resource. Hence the move into electronic media by the purchase of Christchurch web design and e-business management company Innovative Media in August 2006 and Dunedin public company, E-Media, in June 2008. Blueprint offers a comprehensive range of totally integrated and specialist communication channels to our clients with the combination of traditional print and web-based capabilities. The current positioning line ‘more than ink on paper’ reflects our future-focused stance.
